Walter is a managing director in the Client Solutions Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as global head of Content and Product Marketing. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2023 as a managing director.
Prior to joining the firm, Walter was a member of Vanguard’s Global Brand Leadership team, serving as head of Investment Marketing. In that role, he was responsible for defining and amplifying Vanguard’s product investment story and led enterprise product marketing teams focused on Vanguard mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and environmental, social and governance products. Prior to that, Walter led retail strategy for self-directed investors within Vanguard’s Retail Investor Group, which directly serves individual investors and small businesses with mutual funds, ETFs, brokerage trading, retirement accounts and college savings plans, among other offers.
Prior to Vanguard, Walter served as director of Corporate Strategy at TIAA, co-leading the Market and Competitive Strategy department. Prior to TIAA, he was head of strategy for Liberty Mutual’s Life, Annuity and Retirement Income Group. Walter started his career at Aflac, where he held an array of leadership and consulting roles across the organization.
Walter earned a BBA in Information Systems from Georgia College and an MBA from Columbus State University.
